Buffet Lunch @ Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 20

Good day, everybody! Today I am going to post about the lunch that I had with my family when we went to Bangkok last time. So I heard about the buffet here from my sister, who happens to be a foodie like me and since we were travelling together, we decided to go for the buffet here. Boy, you won't be disappointed!

Take a look at the pictures here:

I feel my best experience dining here was eating the fresh seafood. They had boiled and chilled Prawns and Crabs with Thai dipping sauces. I saw some people taking the seafood to the live counter to heat the same, but we decided eat the delicacies chilled. Trust me, I wasn't disappointed. I never knew simple boiled prawns and crabs could taste so good. Maybe it was the dipping sauces!  Oh, they also had snails and oysters (which I didn't try as I wasn't fond of it).

Of course, the buffet was just about these two items because they had the local Thai food like Pad Thai, fish balls noodle soup, etc. Unfortunately, I was too hungry so I could not take the photos of them. Maybe, next time!

The selection was huge and I have to admit that I could not eat all because I was so full. The had some stir fried oriental style dishes too which was quite good but I feel Bangkok street food has more to offer.

No buffet meal is complete without something sweet to end it. I did taste a few of the desserts but because I stuffed myself with other food, I didn't eat everything that was on the menu. Take a loook at what they served that day.

Looking at these photos bring back memories and I really hope that Covid 19 will be eradicated from the world soon so that we can start travelling again. It really depressing to be not being able to travel. I am someone who love travelling and eating and it's been sometime since I travelled so I hoe everything will be back to normal soon.

Till then, stay safe and stay happy!

Presenting to you, prawn wanton soup! These are the ingredients that you are going to need: - Prawns. The quantity depends on how much wantons you want to make. - Salt to suit your taste - Black or white pepper - 1/2 tsp soy sauce - An egg - A tsp of cornflour - 10 Wanton Wrappers - Chopped spring onions - Fresh tatsoi or any Asian greens that you can find. - Chicken broth or water - Chicken powder 1) First, you need to remove the shells and devein the prawns. Wash them well and cut them into small pieces. I wouldn't suggest you chop them up because I personally feel it's better to have chunks of prawns inside the wantons. It looks better and it definitely tastes better. 2) Now take a bowl and add the prawns, salt, black pepper, soy sauce, half

Eggs in Tomato Gravy

Eggs in tomato gravy is perhaps one of the most common dishes that is widely cooked and consumed by Chinese families all over the world. It is simple to cook and yet very delicious. I have been eating this for as long as I remember and now my son is fond of it as well! The gravy is sweet yet tangy and most importantly, you do not need much ingredients to make it. These are the ingredients that you are going to need: 6 Eggs 2 medium tomatoes Oil Sugar Salt Chicken Powder Cornflour Water 1) First, you need to whisk all the eggs in a bowl and then fry them in a wok. You may need to fry them in two lots. Once the eggs are fried you can cut them into bite size pieces or you can break them with your spatula.  2) Now pour some oil in the wok and fry the tomatoes. Add in the sugar next because it will help you melt the tomatoes faster. Now once the tomatoes are fully cooked, pour some water and bring it to a boil. Put in the salt and chicken powder and then add the
